Create your first product catalog in just a few simple steps

Add Products to Your Catalog

Click "Products" in the left sidebar to open the product list. Browse or search for products, then drag them onto the empty grid cells on your canvas.

Products already used on the current page will be marked to avoid duplicates.

Configure Your Page Layout

Click the "Page" tab in the right sidebar. Adjust the grid rows and columns, set the gap between products, and configure page margins.

Use "S" (small) margins for more products, or "W" (wide) for a spacious look.

Style Your Product Cards

Click on any product card to select it. Open the "Cards" tab to customize the layout (stacked or side-by-side), image settings, background colors, and which fields to display.

Use Ctrl+A to select all cards and apply styles to everything at once.

Customize Text & Prices

Click on individual fields like title, price, or SKU. Use the "Properties" tab to change fonts, sizes, colors, and add prefixes/suffixes.

For discount prices, you can apply percentage discounts or remove tax in the "Discount & Tax" section.

Add More Pages

Click the "+" button in the page bar at the bottom to add new pages. Right-click on any page thumbnail for more options like duplicate or delete.

Save your page layout as a template to reuse it on other pages.

Export Your Catalog

When you're done, click the "Export" button in the top-right corner. Choose PDF for print-ready output or HTML for web sharing.

Your work is auto-saved every 60 seconds, but you can also save manually at any time.

Product Cards & Drag-and-Drop

The core of EasyCatalog is the product card system. Each product is displayed as a card that you can fully customize.

Adding Products to Your Catalog

  • Open Products Panel - Click "Products" in the left sidebar to see all available products
  • Search & Filter - Use the search bar to find products by name, SKU, or other fields
  • Drag to Canvas - Click and hold on a product, then drag it onto an empty grid cell
  • Visual Feedback - Empty cells highlight when you hover over them with a product
  • Duplicate Detection - Products already on the current page are marked to avoid duplicates

Field Width & Sizing

Control the width and spacing of individual product fields within cards.

Adjusting Field Width

  • Click on a Field - Select any field (title, price, SKU, etc.) within a product card
  • Properties Tab - Open the "Properties" tab in the right sidebar
  • Width Control - Use the width slider or input to set field width (10% to 100%)
  • Max Width - Limit maximum width to prevent text from stretching too wide

Field Margins (Spacing)

Add space around individual fields to control layout:

Inline Fields

Place multiple fields on the same line by reducing their width. For example, set price to 50% width and discount price to 50% width to display them side by side.

Adding Elements to Your Page

Note: Clearing your browser data will remove saved catalogs. For permanent storage, export your catalog as PDF or HTML.

How does drag and drop work?

Drag and drop is the primary way to add products:

How do I add barcodes to my product cards?

To add barcodes to product cards:

  • Select a product card on the canvas

How do I apply discounts or remove tax from prices?

To apply pricing calculations:

  • Click on a "Discount Price" field within a product card
  • In the "Properties" tab, find the "Discount & Tax" section
  • Enter your values:
    • Fixed Discount - Subtracts a fixed amount
    • Discount % - Percentage off (e.g., 10%)
    • Tax % - Removes VAT/tax (e.g., 20% VAT)
    • Multiplier - Multiplies price (e.g., 1.5 for 50% markup)
  • Click "Apply to Selected" or "Apply to All Products"
Can I reset prices back to the original values?

Yes! After applying discount calculations, a "Reset to Original Price" button will appear. Click this button to restore all prices to their original values. The original prices are saved when you first apply a discount, so you can always roll back.

How do I change the currency symbol?

To change the currency:

  • Click "Catalog Settings" in the top navigation bar
  • Find the "Currency" option
  • Select your preferred currency (USD, EUR, GBP, etc.)
  • The currency symbol will update throughout the catalog
How do I add text before or after a field value?

To add prefix/suffix text:

  • Click on the field you want to modify
  • In the "Properties" tab, find "Text Before/After" section
  • Enter text in "Before" field to add a prefix (e.g., "Price: ")
  • Enter text in "After" field to add a suffix (e.g., " per unit")

How do I add a new page to my catalog?

There are several ways to add new pages:

  • Click the "+" button in the page bar at the bottom
  • Right-click on a page thumbnail and select "Add New Page"
  • Use the keyboard shortcut (if available)
How do I delete a page?

To delete a page:

  • Right-click on the page thumbnail in the page bar at the bottom
  • Select "Delete Page" from the context menu
  • Confirm the deletion when prompted

Note: You cannot delete the last remaining page. The catalog must have at least one page.

How do I save and reuse a page layout as a template?

To save a page as a template:

  • Design your page with the desired grid, styles, and layout
  • Click "Save this Page as Template" button in the Page tab
  • Enter a name for your template
  • The template is saved and will appear in the Templates sidebar

To apply a saved template:

  • Click "Templates" in the left sidebar
  • Find your saved template
  • Click "Apply" to apply it to the current page
How do I add headers and footers to pages?

To add headers and footers:

  • Click the "Page" tab in the right sidebar
  • Find the "Header & Footer" section
  • Toggle on the header and/or footer checkboxes
  • Click on the header/footer area to edit the content
  • You can add text, page numbers, or logos

How do I export my catalog as a PDF?

To export as PDF:

  • Click the "Export" button in the top-right corner
  • Select "Export PDF" from the dropdown

Can I export my catalog for the web?

Yes! You can export your catalog as HTML:

  • Click the "Export" button in the top-right corner

How do I undo a mistake?

To undo changes:

Why are my products not showing images?

To improve performance:

  • Close unused browser tabs
  • Work with fewer products per page

  • Try using a different browser (Chrome recommended)
I lost my work. Can I recover it?

EasyCatalog auto-saves your work to browser storage. If you accidentally closed the browser:

  • Simply reopen the application - your last saved state should be restored
  • If auto-save hasn't captured recent changes, check if you have a manual save

Prevention tip: Regularly click "Save" and export important catalogs as PDF for backup.
